Your description of the canyon as sinewy and tight with towering walls and only a sliver of blue sky, with the loose sandy boulders was perfect to drop us right in with you. Slot canyons were new to me this year and the added risk of flash flooding and eye on the weather, we were told, for 100 miles around! We have seen the 20-something’s with their IPhone cameras on a stick. Delightful to watch them experience nature. Thank you for this wonderful piece.
